Building on prior convenings, this workshop advances an interdisciplinary conversation on designing AI systems that meaningfully participate in collaborative learning environments. With a focus on AI as a collaborative partner, the workshop explores how AI shapes affective trust, epistemic agency, and inclusive participation in human–AI teams. Participants will engage in design sprints and structured discussions to examine key challenges in human–AI collaboration and to develop principles for creating AI systems that support belonging and equitable team dynamics. The goal is to bridge theory, analytics, and design toward more human-centered AI in education.
